Warriors Win First Two in Iolani Classic
The Warriors took their first two games in the Iolani Classic in Honolulu.
Thursday’s night matchup against Mid-Pacific (Hawaii) had the Warriors coming away with the victory 74-44. On Friday night, the Warriors topped the host school, Iolani, 80-44 (Read Story).
The team moves to Monday’s championship game if they defeat LeFlore (Alabama — USA Today #13) on Saturday. They’d play the winner of the Fairfax (Los Angeles) or Montrose Christian (Maryland) game for the title. If they lose, the will play for 3rd place.
The tournament is loaded with nationally ranked teams. The Warriors are ranked fifth in the current USA Today standings. Montrose is 7th and Fairfax 9th.
