Preseason Update from Coach Smith

We’ve had two good scrimmages in the past week. The first, against Hargrave Military Academy on 10/21, was productive, but showed we have some defensive things to work on in practice.
Here are some stats from the scrimmage:
Keith Hornsby – 12 pts
Pe`Shon Howard – 15 pts, 11 assts
Baye Keita – 4 pts, 11 rebs
Doron Lamb – 34 pts (16-19 from FT line)
Roscoe Smith – 18 pts, 8 rbs
Juwan Staten – 16 pts, 6 assts
Scrimmaged Stephen’s Prep from Raleigh last night at home, 10/27. Lamb, Smith, Staten, and Hornsby led the way. Hornsby had 30 points (6-9 from the 3), 10 assists, 9 steals and 6 rebounds!

Martins Abele – 12 pts, 17 rebs, 4 blocks
Season officially opens up this Saturday, 10/31 at home against Central Carolina Academy at 7pm. Go Warriors!
