NEW YORK — Braxton Key had a game-high 20 points, including two free throws in the final seconds, to lift Oak Hill Academy to its first DICK’S Sporting Goods High School Nationals and earned the tournament Most Valuable Player.

Key had 10 points and eight rebounds in a semifinal win against Miller Grove (Lithonia, Ga.) and 12 points and seven rebounds in a quarterfinal win against Utah’s Wasatch Academy. He also blocked Miller Grove’s final shot attempt to preserve the victory.

The remainder of the all-tournament team:

• Lindell Wigginton, Oak Hill: He scored 16 points in the title game, 12 in the semifinals and 17 in the quarterfinals.
• Brian Bowen, La Lumiere: He had 20 points and nine rebounds in the title game. He had 16 points and nine rebounds in a semifinal win against three-time defending champion Montverde Academy. Bowen posted 23 points and five rebounds in the quarterfinals against St. Benedict’s (Newark, N.J.).
• Alterique Gilbert, Miller Grove: After an early morning flight from the McDonald’s All American Game in Chicago, he had 20 points and four assists in an upset of Findlay Prep (Henderson) and then scored 19 in a semifinal loss to Oak Hill.
• Silvio de Sousa, Montverde Academy: He had 10 points in a quarterfinal victory against Providence Day, although his impact was much bigger than the box score would indicate, and then 15 points and five rebounds in a semifinal loss to La Lumiere.
